Think BIM, a design starts with the end in mind, design for use, for change of use and for eventual demolition. Think data not just documents and models. Manage information to aid decision making not overload it. Think assets not projects – put yourself in the users shoes.
In the paper (linked below) Arayici et al introduce a strategic approach to BIM adoption and demonstrate a systematic methodology to its implementation resulting in improvements in process, technological infrastructure, efficiency gains and competitive advantages.
